DOWNLOAD: Vex'd - Disposition (feat. Jest)

Fair warning before you get lost in the dark bassstorm of Vex'd: they aren't around anymore. Well, they're around, just not doing anything together. Cloud Seed, their new release for Planet Mu, is a patchwork album assembled from tracks dating from 2006 and 2007, with a few remixes thrown in to round it out. Technically, it's their second LP, the long-awaited follow-up to 2005's Degenerate, considered by many to be a dubstep landmark. "Disposition" is heavy on the dub, pushing slow drums over organs, a constant, foreboding background wobble, and a sea of other unidentifiable horror sounds. It's sort of like King Tubby trying to imitate DJ Premier from a subterranean sewer–grimy, foggy, and deeply banging.
