PREMIERE: Richard Morel - Shoegazer Disco (Roberto Rodriguez Vox Edit)
As both Morel and Pink Noise, Richard Morel's built up an impressively consistent discography over the last decade-plus, cranking out perfectly arranged club remix after perfectly arranged club remix from his Washington, D.C. studio (for artists like The Killers, New Order, Yoko Ono, and Depeche Mode), collaborating with Deep Dish, co-captaining the long-running, D.C.-based Blowoff party with Hüsker Dü's Bob Mould, and, of course, recording his own stuff. "Shoegazer Disco" originally appears on his latest album, Death Of The Paper Boy, though this sheepish deep-house flip from Finland's Roberto Rodriguez is pulled from the first in a series of remix packages Morel's set to issue from the LP. Those begin arriving on March 23 via his own Outsider Music, and the first one is streaming in full right here.
