Of all the seventh-chord-heavy Cobblestone Jazz tunes, this is one of the least jazzy. But sulk not: It's also one of the most energetic–brimming with modular synths and pushy drum programming–which makes sense its title is ostensibly just "Party". The Canadian live electronics group added longtime bud Colin de la Plante aka The Mole to the line-up for their new album, The Modern Deep Left Quartet, a name they're re-using from previous de la Plante collabs. It's out on March 30 through !K7.
