Call us morbid weirdos, but we wouldn't be mad if "Night" was played at our funeral. It sounds ominous and serious (like industrial Bat For Lashes), but it's also about intimacy and caring for someone at the end of something and that seems fitting (if a little emotionally weighty). Less morbidly speaking, it's the heaviest love song we've heard in some time, and is also leagues more hi-fi than previous Zola Jesus offerings. Stridulum, the EP it's from, is out on Tuesday (March 9) through Sacred Bones.
