Google image search "albatross" and you'll find a ton of pictures of that white bird flying–nay, soaring–over land and sea. If you play this Besnard Lakes song loudly enough, you can easily imagine yourself doing the same thing, especially at 3:04 when the hammer falls and you start wondering if they found a secret door to guitar heaven. Such an experience may require some eye closing. The Besnard Lakes Are Roaring The Night, the Montreal quartet's new album for Jagjaguwar, arrives on March 9. "Albatross", however, is already out on its own 12-inch.
