RCRD OF THE DAY: Wu-Tang Clan - Early Grave (feat. ODB & Bad Luck)

Mathematics' involvement with the Wu-Tang Clan has been essential if not all that visible–aside from contributing production to a litany of Wu-related classics (The W, Ghostface's Surpreme Clientele, and Method Man and Redman's Blackout among them), the Queens-born DJ is also responsible for their iconic logo–that illustrious yellow "W". Basically, he's been in the thick of things since GZA hired him as his DJ in 1990, before the Clan even existed. So, an album of rare and spruced-up Wu-Tang material–produced and arranged entirely by Math and featuring vocals (most of them heretofore unheard) from all thirteen members–is kind of a big deal. Because really, songs like "Early Grave", with an excavated verse from the late, great, totally inimitable O.D.B., don't come around, well, ever.
