In the niche-ridden world of disco and house, Jacques Renault wears many hats. As a solo DJ and one-half of Runaway, he's usually frequenting the booths of subterranean New York spots during the week and/or jetting off to bigger clubs on the weekends. That's when he's not in the studio, either on his own or with Runaway partner Marcos Cabral, with whom he also runs two labels–On The Prowl, and its edits-only cousin, OTP Party Breaks. Anyway, his moody house version of Chairlift's still-great, can't-believe-it-came-out-almost-two-years-ago "Evident Utensil" has heretofore only been available in Japan, though we're beyond psyched to be giving it a second life today.
