Big Easy native Jay Electronica hasn't followed the (increasingly less frequent) "normal" path to rap notoriety. His released work over the last half decade has been little more than a few web-distributed mixtapes and two heavily sweated singles, eschewing the barrage-until-something-sticks route favored by most up-and-comers. Here, on a beat from the late genius J. Dilla, he gruffly takes those other MCs to task, sounding not unlike Nas when Nas still sounded hungry.
