Listening to the Radioclit-curated, Africa-inspired Saga Africa EP that just came out on Mental Groove and contains zero producers actually from Africa, you can't help but wonder if Radioclit and their ensuing work with Esau Mwamwaya as The Very Best never happened, whether these specific artists–Douster, Lazy Flow, and Myd, all of them French–would be producing music that sounds anything like this. Maybe so, but the sonic shadow of the London duo looms large here, which makes sense since it's their record. Myd's contribution–a choppy house tune that sounds like speeding a school bus full of vibraphones over deep potholes–is available freely below; the whole EP is up for sale over at Beatport.
