Let's be real: none of the the guys in Sweet Apple are very young. They are not twentysomethings with delusions of rock grandeur, if those even still exist. They are grizzled longhairs, which is probably why "Do You Remember," aka the song we yearned to write in our basement a thousand times when we were 16, is so self-satisfying. It's just guys who never grew up playing music that makes them feel good, only these guys are J. Masics of Dinosaur Jr. and members of Cobra Verde and Witch, so they can play. Well. Their album, Love And Desperation, arrives on March 30th through Tee Pee.
