Portland, Oregon is one of those towns where everyone appears to be coasting on some moderate, agreed upon level of excitement–no one is overly ecstatic, but everyone is positively "vibing" or whatever. Quail Lungs, pseudonym of Portland musician Travis Bonilla, translates that sentiment into disorderly folk songs, smothered in tape hiss and probably recorded on or near that couch you see above. They aren't sad, just reveling in their own dejectedness. The 7-inch that has "Dumb Dada Dum" as its a-side comes out January 26th via Dean Spunt (of No Age)'s Post Present Medium.
