In their ten years of existence, cinematic San Diego group The Album Leaf have really only been one dude on record: band leader Jimmy LaValle. But, for their forthcoming LP, A Chorus Of Storytellers, LaValle finally welcomed his touring band into the studio, and if the symphonic cradle of "Falling From The Sun" is anything to go on, all that bonding resulted in the least cerebral, most hand rolled Album Leaf record thus far. Sub Pop's putting it out on February 2nd.
