You (should) know this voice–it's Alan Sparhawk from Minnesota slowcore titans Low. Here, as part of the trio Retribution Gospel Choir, he's unaccompanied by his wife and fellow Low'er Mimi Parker and moving the music out of the bedroom, so to speak–"Hide It Away" is unadorned, sweeping, canyon-sized guitar music, nothing like the isolated scratchiness of Low. It's the first song to surface from the second RGC album, simply titled 2, that's due out January 26th through Sub Pop.
