Somewhat thankfully, "Pale Christmas" is not a Christmas song. It has no sleigh bells or trite thematic lyrics, and is instead crystallized, string-laden break-up pop that sounds both like Massive Attack and Serge Gainsbourg. It's from Mademoiselle Caro and Franck Garcia's second album for Ben Watt's Buzzin' Fly, Left, which is due out in April.
