According to the nightmarish picture above, either Michael Johnson’s devolved into full-fledged Cro-Magnon, or his Ape School project is growing its own dimension. Thankfully, it’s the latter, and today we’ve got two tracks reshaping some tunes off the debut album that Sam discovered earlier this year. First up, it’s Andrew Broder of Fog inflecting “That’s OK,” with sweet, Stones gee-tar, then Daedelus’ stuttering drumset slips rightly into the psych-chorus in “Wail to God,” which also has a new video that you can watch here. Ape School Remixes is out now right here, through Ninja Tune’s Counter imprint.
