Downtown's Mos Def and Femi Kuti Nominated for Grammy Awards!
Downtown Records' Mos Def and Mercer Street Records' Femi Kuti have been honored with nominations for the 52nd Grammy Awards! Mos Def was nominated for Best Solo Rap Performance with the single "Casa Bey," as well as for Best Rap Album - The Ecstatic (available on iTunes). Femi Kuti's first Mercer Street release, Day By Day (available on iTunes), also received a nomination for Best Contemporary World Music Album.
