Although it's tracklisted second, "Deadbeat Summer" is the first actual song on Neon Indian's Psychic Chasms LP and sounds like floating to the bottom of an aquarium, flanged everything and aqueous synths guiding your descent. The band were busy during CMJ last week (having another incarnation didn't help) and are now touring towards the West Coast before heading to Europe and Oz.
