Real Estate are a pretty innocuous bunch. I mean look at them, they're playing volleyball together. Then there's the name, something of a nod to their suburban pedigree, and the songs, which sound like the results of effortless jamming between childhood friends, no one trying to crowd out the others and no semblance of a distortion pedal anywhere. It's pretty tame, but understatedly perfect. "Beach Comber" originally appeared on their Atlantic City Expressway tour CDR and is now gussied up (aka mastered) for their new self-titled LP, out November 17th through Woodsist. It's surf music that sounds nothing like Surf Music.
