Before Bevan bowed out in August, he wrote about The Clientele's bossa-nova-ish "I Wonder Who They Are" and how it deviated from their usual M.O. of gardening lush tunes from the indie rock weeds. Perhaps in an effort to appease the faithful before new LP, Bonfires On The Heath, drops on October 6th, the much less surprising but no less great "Harvest Time" was leaked earlier this month. There's sitar drone in the background and it kind of sounds like the sort of thing you'd find playing in an apartment covered in tapestries, but its sublime, simple instrumentation keeps things from overfogging.
