You won't find Jeremy Jay messing around with post-generic dubscapes or future-flung noise rock - no, Jez is a man of more traditional pleasures, traditional pleasures like the gentle thrum of an acoustic guitar and Buddy Holly songs. This one - "Words Of Love" - is one of the best, and it's a strong suit for Jay; the LA crooner winsome as he clumsily trips his way through those words like a giddy, overgrown schoolboy. It's kind of like watching an Adam Sandler film where Adam Sandler doesn't speak through his nose and has a sense of shame.
