New York heavy bass evangelicals the Trouble & Bass crew–Drop The Lime, The Captain, Star Eyes, and AC Slater–celebrate three years strong this Saturday at Le Poisson Rouge with very special guests Skream and Benga. The party follows a big summer of touring and releases for the collective, including Star Eyes' debut, the Disappear EP. In addition to giving away a pair of tickets to the gig (to enter, sign up for our newsletter here, then email contests@rcrdlbl.com with the subject "TROUBLE & BASS") we're debuting a unreleased UFO! remix of Disappear's b-side–a cover of Siouxsie & The Banshees' "Happy Haus." It's somewhat unsurprisingly on a wild, wobbly breakbeat house tip–tribal drum smashes colliding with apocalypto-lazer synths and harpooning drum breaks, Star Eyes doing one hell of a Siouxsie impression over it all.
