DOWNLOAD: F**kpony - A Pills Medley

(Photo: Michael Mann)
For such salacious titling, "A Pills Medley" is really quite a subdued and conservative house track–little more than classy piano and smooth-edged organ snuggling into a impunitive kick and cowbell. It's spare, almost coyly so, but breathes deep like classic house should. Such is the modus operandi of Jay Haze, the Pennsylvania-born, Berlin-based producer and DJ who's shared studio space with Ricardo Villalobos, overseen two significant labels (TuningSpork and Contexterrior) and, like a right of passage, released a string of records under a variety of guises through a variety of different imprints. On October 26th, his Fuckpony project releases a new LP, Let The Love Flow, via Ellen Allien's BPitch Control, full of salubrious non-anthems like this one. If his Fabric mix from earlier this summer is anything to go by, the man knows how to sequence a full-length. And pick a pseudonym.
