This track's been knocking around a while now in blog-time, but it's worth making certain that you're aware of it. One troupe to post it already are our friends over at The Fader, whose editor Jullianne Shepherd refers to Memory Tapes' colourful, post-generic synth-pop as 'dreamwave'. It's apt - at this stage I'm fully convinced that Dayve Hawk wakes up each and every morning and lays down his dreams in perfect sound, capturing absurd, girl-chasing, cloud-hopping adventures before they ebb away. Hawk's reworking of Fool's Gold's "Nadine" is what you'd expect from a 'dreamwave' track and that's no slight. If anything it's a bigup for being so prolific - and prolifically great - that he's already managed to blueprint a style that rests upon something as intangible as dreams and that no-one had a name for six months ago. Hands can't help but applaud, really.

Sounds Like: Air France, Crystal Castles, Vampire Weekend
