Well, he certainly grew into that prophet beard, eh? Micro-folk dude Raymond Raposa aka Castanets has a new LP due September 22 on Asthamtic Kitty called Texas Rose, The Thaw, And The Beasts, source of "Worn From The Fight (With Fireworks)." Those squeeze bottle synths you hear towards the end and the crawling tics underneath are probably the work of album producer Rafter Roberts, himself a talented Kitty-related artist and engineer. And not that there's anything explosive here, but he had us at "with fireworks."
