There are different ways for bands to try and make their way in today’s maniacal music world. You could write good songs, get them put up for consumption on, say, RCRD LBL, and watch your fortunes rise. Alternatively, you could write those good songs and jackpot them into one video-game after another—like Brooklyn’s Jupiter One, who might be one of those well-known bands you haven’t heard of yet. If so, that’ll end this fall, when they open two friggin’ months of dates for Regina Spektor in tiny clubs like the Greek Theatre in L.A. and Radio City Music Hall. “Flaming Arrow” is the first single from their upcoming album, Sunshower, and while it might start in strummy modesty, it really takes flight once the strings come in (even if they’re synths).
