If hell actually had angels, they would sound like Mark Lanegan. At least, I hope they would. The former Screaming Trees frontman and frequent collaborator with loads of awesome other people has a voice that's like half Sam Elliott, half Greg Dulli. Or something. Basically, if he wasn't such a good singer I would kill to be his audiobook agent. Lanegan's worked with British production duo Soulsavers before and appears on this single, from their new album Broken, which came out on Tuesday. The Scottish Gods Of The Guitar Apocalypse aka Mogwai went in and made it even more life-threateningly noisy, 'cause like, hey, that's what they do.
