Does 'electronic folk' make sense? Yes. Euros Childs is not trying to drag a synth across the muddy wastes of Medieval England. But does 'Welsh electronic folk' make sense? That's a tougher one. Is it folk if you're not listening to the words? There's something about that accent - the famous Welsh 'lilt'. After a while you stop listening to what Euros is saying and start swooning at how he says it; the purred 'r's, the polysyllabic vowels, the affable 'better-get-on-with-it-then' of it all. It's a self-defeating situation. A bit like dragging a synth across...

Sounds Like: Gruff Rhys, John Shuttleworth, Brian Eno & John Cale
