There is perhaps no current band better suited to cover goth-rock legends Love and Rockets than Brooklyn's A Place To Bury Strangers, so their appearance next to acts like Black Francis, The Dandy Warhols, and Better Than Ezra on the new L&R tribute album, New Tales To Tell, had us hoping for a faithful reinterpretation. We certainly get that in their version of "The Light," from 1987's Earth Sun And Moon, though they swapped the original's acoustics for belligerent sheets of pedal noise. Shocking! MP3 is only up for a week, so get the goods while you can.
