Be not belied by the producer’s hardcore facemask. !llmind’s rework of Common’s “I Want U” smoothes the original stutter by injecting a little more lounge, a little more R&B, and flickering into a warm Saturday night jam. What you’d want playing on your first date with that new girl with the big brown eyes. Moving closer with each beat, as her manicured nails flit from your shoulder to her muddled mint concoction and back again. Sigh. First dates are the best.
