Last time we checked in on Toro Y Moi he was gliding high enough to catch the space-bound tranmissions of '80s radio, but something seems to have riled Chaz Bundick. "Supposed to Do", taken from the Body Angles cassette tape Mirror Universe are putting out soon, is still reminiscent of a golden '80s childhood but is spikier by far than either "Sad Sams" or "Causers of This", guitars pricking like pins n' needles, turn of verse impatient. Why the angst, Chaz? The lyrics give it away - the man's working a job he hates when he'd rather be kissing a girl. The eternal bind. Still, in happier news Carpark Records will be releasing not one, but two Toro Y Moi albums in 2010. Reasons to be cheerful.
