Joyful noise gets thrown a fair bit, and far be it for us to discontinue that apt phrase. We All Have Hooks for Hands maintains an authenticity that can only come from an unjaded South Dakota nine-piece playing simply because they love to. The resulting sound is straight inspiring us to toss the day’s work and nail each other with spitballs. Lo-scratch, senior-prank, jumping on your friends in the rec center kind of music. New album The Shape of Energy doesn’t drop until October, but “Made Up Of Tiny Lights” should tide us over ‘til then.
