EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: Bloc Party - One More Chance (Alex Metric Remix)

I thought Bloc Party were supposed to be the new Gang Of Four? A few years and infinite remixes later and Kele Okereke seems more comfortable surrounded by a 4/4 beat and the gauzy, springing synths of commercial house than trapped within the wiry tension of post-punk. The boy's got a voice and lyrics to suit, of course, romantic neuroses never so far away from a Bloc Party track that it can't be grappled into a neat metaphor, though this refit - like a recent Armand Van Helden effort - seems to usher away lyrical dexterity in favour of one of those famously bare-hearted Okereke refrains. If you still feel slightly in the dark about how this is gonna sound, click here - I'd say there's at least a one-in-three chance that whatever's playing there will sound vaguely similar.
