Another great exclusive from the guys at Viva Radio and their Me + You program. Brooklyn's Suckers recently stopped by their space to play a grip of new ones in addition to this, a song from their recent IAMSOUND-released debut EP. On record, "Afterthoughts & TV" swims through glassy guitars and layers of vocals, but when it's paired down to acoustics and hand drums, it morphs into a loaded, slumping jug band tune. We never heard the Grateful Dead influence until we heard this version. Head to Viva Radio to hear the whole session.
And for those in the hood, Suckers will be opening for MGMT tonight at the Prospect Park Bandshell in Brooklyn. They also have a Thursday night residency all month long at Pianos in Manhattan.
