Australian duo Canyons first caught our attention in 2008 with an EP of damp, fly-swatting disco for the tiny Aussie imprint Hole In the Sky. Since then they've relocated from their native Perth to Sydney, joined the Modular roster, and recorded a new single for DFA that will be out in July. Before that, "Blue Snakes" will drop via the new I'm A Cliche compilation, Moments Of A Crisis, a two-disc assemblage of jagged, weirdo house collected by the French label for its five year anniversary. Canyons' contribution–a beastly union of street sax and drum machines that sound like they're about to cannibalize each other–is available below. Moments Of A Crisis is out now on CD, the two sampler 12"s (one of which includes "Blue Snakes") should be out in the next few weeks.
