To say that mix CDs are a dime a dozen would be like saying things are a bit real right now in Iran, but a mix assembled by Danish musician and DJ Anders Trentemøller is nothing to gloss over, especially when the tracklist includes Grouper, Beach House, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, and two Suicide songs. Harbour Boat Trips–01: Copenhagen by Trentemøller is first in a new series for upstart label HFN that, we assume anyway, is locale or journey inspired. Trentemøller's inaugural edition–rather obviously devoted to the Danish metropolis–includes a few exclusive edits, like this live version of 2006's "Vamp," dug into the record's final minutes and reminiscent of hearing blues played through a sonar machine.
