DOWNLOAD: Terry Lynn and Johan Hugo - Jamaican Girls

I was all set to talk about how this synth riff is typically Radioclit-like–rotund, skronky, etc.–and then Discobelle has go and point out that it's actually lifted from the Dr. Alban tune "No Coke." Go figure. Now, since Dr. Alban is a Sweden-based dancehall/Euroclub singer, the swipe makes sense for this collabo between Johan Hugo (Radioclit's Swedish half) and Jamaican singer Terry Lynn. The two linked up for a project commissioned by Red Stripe called It Was Written, what is essentially a free, five-song digital EP to "celebrate the global influence of Jamaican music." Irregardless of motive, the thing bangs. "Jamaican Girls" is available for poaching now, the whole thing drops on Monday.

Sounds like: Major Lazer, Ghislain Poirier, The Very Best
