We've been riding for our dude Sean Bones–somewhat more well-known as Sam Champion guitarist Sean Sullivan–since last summer, when his side project of poppy beach reggae initially slid across our desks. After playing a string of shows around New York, the project was picked up by Frenchkiss (home to Passion Pit and Les Savy Fav) for Rings, its debut LP. "Dancehall," from the record's second half, rides a "Don't Come Around Here No More"-ish drum machine stumble, cutting the staggering with boxy guitar stabs and a B3 that sounds like it's trying to talk through its rotary amp. Rings is out July 21st, tour dates after the jump.
