DOWNLOAD: Oscar G - Innosense

One of the most common criticisms leveled at techno/house tracks is that they're predictable -- the first repetitive minute being more than enough time to form an opinion. For "Innosense," a cut from Oscar G's expansive forthcoming album, DJ, the criticism simply doesn't apply. It shifts from sparse, grinding beats to earthy hand drumming, launching into dazzling delayed arpeggios before washed over by the unusual combination of squirming acid progressions and a vibrant flute vamp. As soon as listeners settle into one sound Oscar is on to the next. In the hands of a less experienced producer "Innosense" would be a startling mess, but Oscar G's nearly two decades of production experience ensures this eccentric tune is a spontaneous ride whose sudden left turns still work on the dance floor.
Sounds like: Danny Tenaglia, Armand Van Helden
