"I'm Turning Into You," like all promising garage singles, deals with the effects of a better half, specifically their ability to twist your behaviors after getting together. You know the drill: your buddy can't meet for beers tonight because the lady's got him making fondue or something. But Athens, OH quartet Wheels On Fire make this sound like something worth celebrating, eschewing bass for doubled up guitar and searing B3 and losing not an ounce of heat or punch in the process. Mississippi powerhouse Fat Possum just released their home-recorded collection GET FAMOUS, which, you know, they just might do. All we can say is that we're less bummed about those missed beers, so things are looking bright.
