Passion Pit have obviously taken a listen to the original version of this track and decided that Dan Black doesn't get out enough - so, gone is the plaintive, rain-drenched drumbeat "Symphonies" initially stole from Rihanna, as are most of the strings that cried over the top of it. Purging the song of obvious melancholy, the Massachusetts quintet proceed to lead Black on a bassland tour; placing his vocal delicately atop baile funk, triumphant house, dubstep lurk and drum'n'bass clatter, 'til the singer is so exhausted he can't lift himself to care about whatever it was he was sulking about in the first place.
