Another week in May, another post about Deastro. Ghostly's current It Boy is releasing a new EP entitled Grower, dedicated to the people and places in his hometown of Detroit and available for free-ninety-nine just south of this text. While we could wax a bit on this instrumental release, it's best to hear from the source, so you'll find Randolph Chabot's words on the release are after the jump.

And just as a reminder: Deastro's "Vermillion Plaza" single is out now, Moondagger drops in June, and Chabot and the Ghostfaces are ripping things up in Detroit this Sunday for one of their 10-year anniverary soirees.

Randolph Chabot On Grower:

“This EP is inspired by Detroit and my friends there who I feel are a light in it. The title of it, Grower, represents what I feel is growing inside of peoples hearts and minds there. It is about human growth, so sometimes it can be messy or tragic, although I am not going to limit human experience to two adjectives or claim that I know the first thing about it."
