You know what to expect from Deerhunter by now, but that doesn't mean they should be taken for granted. "Rainwater Cassette Exchange", the lead track from a new EP of the same name, is yet another fantastic example of the band slashing their noise into the air. Their noise: dreamy, romantic, half-drunk-on-the-porch-on-a-warm-summer's-evening noise. Familiar yet surreal, the band that Deerhunter grew into is getting greater - cup your ears and do the appropriate thing.
