DOWNLOAD: VEGA - No Reasons
Unfortunately involved in that Crystal Castles drama from a month ago, Austin's VEGA (real name: Alan Palomo) is set to release his excellent debut EP, Well Known Pleasures, this summer, as plush a French-touch pop record as the Texas desert could spawn. If Palomo's name sounds familiar, it's because he crossed a few radar screens last year as lead singer for the short-lived Ghosthustler. "No Reasons" is a Pleasures standout, due in part to its waterbed of synths but also to Palomo's voice, which could be spouting the worst news in the world and still sound copacetic as hell.
