Cribbing your name from the most notorious of Beats invites a lot of criticism and/or assumptions, but thankfully Kerowack avoid any embarassments at the hand of their moniker by doing the slouchy, big-beat acid thing really well. "Dirtgrabber" is from their First EP (these guys are cheeky), pairing overdriven drum samples with a sqirumy 303 riff that sounds like a funk bass line run through a dishwasher. Also, shout to Saul Good, one-half of the New York-based duo, as it's his birthday today. Happy Birthday dude.

Sounds like: Lo-Fidelity All-Stars, Beck's Odelay, The Chemical Brothers
