It's always hard to place Teengirl Fantasy's music. For me, the flushed ambient house Oberlin, Ohio students Logan Takahashi and Nick Weiss conjure is more akin to photographs gazed at in holiday brochures, gauzy synths touched up digitally like perfect and hyperreal ocean blues, anonymous voices littering the mix like nameless holidaymakers caught sinking cocktails on the beach as the sun starts to dip below the horizon. "Floor To Floor" is no less powerful in its evocation of warmer, tropical climes, the track available as one of four on the free TGIF EP at Pukekos.
