DJ Hell he may be, but Helmut Josef Geier's kraut-tech is far from diabolical, which is why we've asked him back again, RCRD LBL, even though Steve posted a track of his in February. In his post, Steve expressed surprise that "The Angst Pt. 1" wasn't the "miasma of clanging techno beats at face melting tempos" you might expect. "Electronic Germany" may well melt faces, especially once its allowed to get into its stride - bleeping malevolently into life, the track proceeds in stark four-four before carving chunks out of itself with abrupt lunges of electronic string. For new album Teufelswerk Hell roped in a number of guests to add voice to his dark, questing compositions, Brian Ferry and P Diddy among them. How I wish that the robotic narrator of "Electronic Germany" turns out to be Diddy jamming it with a vocoder. Imagine. Can you? Imagine?
