EXCLUSIVE NEW DOWNLOAD: Capracara - King Of The Witches (Age Of Steam Edit)
Keeping their twelve game impeccable, the cats at DFA have a monster new record out from Capracara (real name: Jonathan Burnip), a Londonite who put out two singles on SoulJazz before getting picked up by DFA. "King Of The Witches" doesn't categorize easily–there's disco's familiar swing, early house's primitivity, techno's latent mechanics--but it does fall under the umbrella of "jam we will bump all summer long," so we are more than excited to share an exclusive edit (used in the video) exclusively below. Can we just say that it makes us feel like we are immersed in a real version of Pole Position? The release comes backed with a huge remix from New York duo Rub-N-Tug, and you can find the excellent video from director/animator Tom Scholefield above. The plot is essentially, "this is what will happen to your brain if you listen to this as much as we do."
Pick up the release on on wax or digitally over at Turntable Lab.
