Summer's almost upon us and dance acts are getting their pitches in for Balearic ubiquity. This collaborative effort from 4-time Juno-winning soul artist Billy Newton-Davis and producer Deadmau5 seems well positioned to succeed in the task for which it's been designed, this refit combining radio-friendly sunshine house with Vangelis-like synths sirens that easily pierce the clamour of electro-throbs and 4/4 drum shuffle. We're pretty curious as to what it was that drew these two boys born 30 years apart together in the first place or how their time in the studio unfolded, but this bangs regardless, and is out along with the original cut and six other remixes on June 1st through Play.
