When I was a kid I had this really crappy CD player, a boombox that didn't do so hot when it came to low end stuff. So the first few seconds of bass on "Israel's Son" tended to go unheard no matter how high I cranked the volume knob. Just couldn't hear it. But then the guitar would show up and scare the piss out of me. Every single time.
