Liquid Vega are lovers. They've been lovers forever, in truth, but they only became aware of it when they met at a party last year in singer Genevieve Duprie's native Paris, she and Vincent Gomes bonding over "a love of Francoise Hardy's La Question album, the galactic disco work of Jean-Pierre Massiera and cheap wine". Ever since then it's been heart-tugged crusades back and forth across the English Channel, the pair reuniting to take steamy photographs of each other and to make exactly the sort of music that this situation demands: hopelessly romantic DIY disco for those hailing an early ride home so they can stay up all night. The story's almost too good to be true. Are we believers? Who are we to pull true love's pants down in front of such a beautiful audience.
